This collection of breast cancer statistics and data were retrieved from The American Cancer Society’s 2009-2010 Breast Cancer Facts & Figures pdf booklet available for download. The pdf contains excessive amounts of valuable information including basic information/general Q and A about the cancer as well as statistics based on the population within the United Stated of America. Facts that support these statistics generally range from 1999 to 2009. Along with what is pictured above, the following data was collected:
- Death Rates by Race
- Five-year Survival Rate
- Factors That Increase the Relative Risk for Breast Cancer in Women
- Mammography Use, Women 40 and Older, US, 2005
- Stage Distribution (%) by Race
- Age-specific Probabilities of Developing Invasive Female Breast Cancer
This collected data could become a standard for customized treatment. It will mainly be utilized for a user’s concern of their progress throughout treatment. Other statistics could also pertain to the heal/development part of the application via diet suggestions, exercise, and outreach.
